Joining Your Community Library The process for using your Community Library is the same as using a County Library. If you have a County issued Library Card you can continue to use it. If you do not have a card joining your Community Library is free. If you are an adult you will need to fill in a registration form and to show proof of current name, address and signature such as a driving licence, passport or bank statement. If you are under the age of 16 you will need a parent or guardian to provide proof of their identity and to sign the registration form. Once you have joined you will be issued with a County Library Card. This entitles you to use your Community Library and all Bucks County Libraries including the Mobile Library service. Using Your Community Library You can borrow up to 15 books for up to 3 weeks. Everything you borrow will be stamped with a return date. Fines are levied for any item returned after the return date. You can renew items, unless they have been reserved by another library member, at your Community Library, any County library, by telephone or over the internet. Books may be reserved by filling in a request form and paying a fee of £1. You can reserve any book in your Community Library or any County Library in Bucks. Reservations are free for those over 65 or under 16. |
